Jeff Harris
Starting in the early 90’s, Jeff was the “go to” person at meetings and social gatherings with the boom box, cassettes and CDs to entertain the crowd. His requests to play music increased so in 2000 he started mobile DJ’ing with professional equipment and subsequently became a member of the Association of Beach and Shag Club DJ’s.

Charlie Byrd, John Moore, Steve Hardy and others influenced his eastern North Carolina ear. His musical taste continues to evolve but he never strays far from the classics. As a mobile DJ playing socials, weddings, and corporate events throughout the Carolinas and Virginia, the music for shag dancing and perpetuating the shag dance, lifestyle, and music became his passion. Jeff and HOF DJ Johnny Miller are co-hosts of the annual Shuck & Shag Party at Williamston’s Sunny Side Oyster Bar Party. This popular event has been in place for over 30 years.

The greatest moment in Jeff’s DJ career was when wife Pat, first helping with the computer side, joined him in the DJ booth. You can find this duo entertaining in various social and commercial shag clubs in eastern NC, striving to “play the music that begs a dance”.

Pat is currently the lone “Hen” and one of the newest, along with her husband Jeff, to fill out the Jukin’ Oldies line up of 27 deejays. A Washington NC native, she is a mobile deejay playing for special events, social and commercial shag clubs; an avid vinyl collector; and an active member of the Association of Beach & Shag Club DJ’s. Pat, like so many listeners in the region, grew up in the 70’s listening to LP records by soul, disco, bubble gum beach and rock ‘n roll artists. Her music taste expanded after she met Jeff and started traveling with him to North Myrtle Beach to dance and play music.

When asked why she become a deejay, Pat credits her mentors Jeff and HOF DJ’s Walter Upchurch and Terry Hopper for helping to influence her ear and stay true to the music. She is also appreciative of the input received from countless friends she’s made on her journey.

Pat is driven by her love for the music. She has made it her mission to accept new challenges like internet radio broadcasting in hopes that younger deejays and other enthusiasts will follow in her footsteps to help preserve and perpetuate the greatest music on Earth!
